Have you changed your driving habits with the rising price of a gallon of gas? What are you doing differently? How is it affecting your life?
I find I am scrunching errands together and trying to skip those quick-but-not-really-necessary trips. My change is partly due to the price tag at the gas tank and partly because I recently read that even a quick errand releases 10 pounds of toxic emissions into the air.
Imagine if we all made one less non-necessary car trip a day. Just one.

I try to drive less, but my teenagers? That’s a whole ‘nother story. They seem to think the gas tank is never on empty, even when it is.
One good way to conserve not only fuel but “me” is plan my errands. I make a list of errands…while my husband laughs…from the furtherest point to home. Then, I plot my course so I’m saving time, fuel and my precious energy.
We live a ways from everywhere and it takes a minimum of two hours to go to town, do errands and come home. Even on those days I’ve only a few stops to make!
