Chase the Light

When Acadia National Park ranger Scout Johnson finds a weathered note near a remote lighthouse, she doesn’t expect it to unravel a century-old mystery. The cryptic message hints at a long-forgotten shipwreck, a vanished treasure, and the mysterious death of a lighthouse keeper. To make sense of the note, Scout turns to Naki Dana, a perceptive man whose Wabanaki heritage offers vital insights. As they follow the trail deeper into Acadia’s rugged wilderness, their unlikely partnership begins to stir something unexpected. But they’re not alone in the search.

Chase Fletcher, a desperate local journalist, sees this treasure hunt story as his final chance to revive his dying paper–and he’s willing to chase headlines at any cost. With danger closing in and loyalties tested, Scout must navigate a tangled path between history and justice, truth and betrayal . . . and decide who–and what–is worth trusting.

Suzanne Woods Fisher weaves together adventure and romance in this exhilarating journey to uncover a century of secrets at Acadia National Park.
