This week we are featuring Anita Higman! To win a copy of her new book, Winter in Bloom (River North, 2013) leave a comment on this post.
Tell us a little about your new book . . .
Winter in Full Bloom is about a woman who travels to Australia to find her sister, but in the end finds much more than she ever imagined or hoped for.
How can readers find you and your books?

Anything new for you on the book horizon?
I am happy to say that on November 5th of this year I have another novel coming out. It’s entitled A Marriage in Middlebury, and it’s a romantic comedy set in a small town in Texas.
What is the smartest writing advice you ever got?
A famous writer once told me, “Write what you know about and keep at it.” It’s proven to be good advice for me.
Why do you write?
I have a real need to tell you a story. I guess God made me that way.
I’m inspired by…
The music of Josh Groban and Eric Whitacre
My great adventure has been…
Traveling to Australia and then writing Winter in Full Bloom, which is set there.
If I could go anywhere, it would be…
New Zealand
If you have only an hour…
I would chat with Jesus, since I would be seeing Him in person in that next hour, and I’d tell my family I loved them one more time.
Describe yourself in one word.
Intense.
Best Saturday Afternoon Read
Anything by B.J. Hoff.
Best Indulgence
A really great bowl of chicken and dumplings.
If you could give your ten-year-old self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Lighten up. Love people more. Worry less.
