Clearly, rationing of chocolate was the main concern on everyone’s mind. Can’t blame anyone…chocolate is near and dear to my own heart. I mean, sure, it’s a World War, but to have to give up our chocolate????
However, everyone overlooked the obvious…(something I do with atonishing regularity)…
…the real reason that the production of Hershey Kisses ceased –from 1942 to 1949– was because silver foil was rationed during the war effort.
