Even though there are many challenging aspects to spending a lot of time with Dad, and I do mean quite a lot of time, there are funny moments, too.

Just this morning, we were at my son’s basketball game and I turned to Dad and said, “Well, you have a busy day ahead.”

“Oh, yes!” he agreed, nodding enthusiastically. Then, his countenance became puzzled. “So what am I doing?” he asked.

Another time, we were at church and the sermon happened to be on Divorce and Remarriage. Afterwards, I introduced him to a very nice older lady (a church pillar who has been married about 150 years or so). Dad shook her hand and solemnly asked her, “So, did you listen carefully to the sermon?”
