Early this morning, I went to pick up Dad at the Board & Care to take him to church. To my surprise, he had invited two other people to come with us! A quick footed gentleman, who scurried out the gate and hopped into my car…and another lovely lady, slowly, slowly, slowly pushing a walker as Dad tried to hurry her along.

I politely explained to all three of them that I couldn’t take everyone to church today. “Maybe another time,” I said, smiling.

In my mind, though, I thought, “Are you kidding me?! I can only handle ONE dementia patient at a time!”
