I read this in The Budget this week…the Amish-Mennonite newspaper. Think the Amish don’t have a sense of humor? Have another think…
A large woman stood in church and sang, “Love Lifted Me.” A skinny man stood next to her and sang, “It Took a Miracle.”
Too funny, although I don't imagine that many of the Amish woman are really big.
LOL!
Reminds me of the one about the preacher whose sermon was on the evils of alcohol: "If I could, I'd take all the beer and throw it in the river. And then I'd get all the wine and throw it in the river. And then I'd get all the whiskey and liquor and throw every drop into the river."
He sat down and the music minister got up and sheepishly said, "Please stand for our final hymn, which is Shall We Gather at the River?"
That was just too funny, loved the one that Linda wrote too…the Amish work so hard, there can't be too many of them if any that are very big…they work all those calories off. t
