Hi friends!
Want to win an AMAZING basket filled with all things Amish? Just post a review about The Waiting on Amazon or CBD and you’ll be entered for a chance to win an Amish doll, the audio version of The Choice, an Amish cookbook – Country Lane Quilts and Family Cooking: Lancaster County Amish Recipes, and an Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Kit.
Here’s how the giveaway works: For those who have read The Waiting, write a short customer review (hopefully, a positive one!) on either Amazon or on CBD. (Be sure not to include any spoilers in your review.) Then just come back here and leave a comment on this post (including your email address) and let me know where you posted your review. That’s it! Contest ends November 14th. We’ll announce the winner on the 15th.
And thank you!

I posted a review on Amazon. Please enter me in the contest — I would love the beutiful and interesting gift basket.
After reading "The Choice" on my daughter-in-law's Kindle, I had no choice but to quickly get "The Waiting". These books are so easily read, understood and I felt at times like I was right there with Jorie and Caleb. The lives that were touched with daily grief, confusion and happiness blended into a realistic view of everyday life. This book, as did The Choice, was so informative of the Amish ways, their love for their brethern and neighbors…the close knit relationships, always. I'm thrilled that Jorie and Caleb allowed their hearts to win..especially for Margie and Ephraim. I anxiously look forward to the next book….can you write and print just a little more quickly?!
Hi Suzanne! I loved The Waiting and I posted a review on Amazon.com so I can win your Amazing Amish Gift Basket Prize.

I stayed up until 3:30 this morning and read "The Waiting" … after I finished a dull biography of Warren G. Harding at 8PM last evening. I posted a review on Amazon. I loved the book and had to keep my handkerchief handy for the tears. I lived in Lancaster from 1968-1991 and could see the story. I had a few "hitches", such as the freezer. Yes, some do use freezers, but only if their bishop allows them to have electricity in an out building for business purposes. Otherwise it has to be powered by a generator. You did mention a generator, so I assume this was the case. You didn't make it clear. The other thing was that when I studied Pennsylvania German Culture at Millersville University, I was told that church services were conducted in High German rather than the Penn. Dutch vernacular. Would this make a difference to the story? These details do not detract from the true message of your story. Wonderful book. I want to read more.
My mom would love this!! She would get so tickled!!! LOL daisycrazyjes@yahoo.com
Hi Suzanne, I read this book as well as all your others. It was wonderful and I look forward to the next one. I was up so late finishing it that my pups, Sassi & Lollipop kept whining for me to go to bed so THEY could settle in for the night. Crazy little Yorkies, huh? Blessings and have a wonderful week.
