“Stop and consider my wonders,” God told Job, the World’s Expert on Suffering. God had listened patiently to Job’s lengthy list of complaints about the human condition. And, now, it was God’s turn to reply.
Then God went on to point to ordinary observations of the natural world surrounding Job—clouds hung poised in the sky, flashes of lightning.
Not so very ordinary, was God’s lesson.
Maybe God was trying to remind us that there is no such thing as ordinary. Open our eyes and see the wonders that surround us!
