My parents attended a memorial service the other day that was held at a retirement facility. Afterwards, Dad was impatient to go home (no surprise there! He’s like a horse heading back to the barn)…so somehow, Dad found the valet ticket for Mom’s new (used) car and slipped outside.

Next thing we knew, a family friend found Dad driving the car up the circular driveway to wait for Mom. The friend flagged the valet and told him, “Stop him! Stop that man!”

Dad’s license had been revoked years ago. He just doesn’t agree.
