One thing that always irks me is when older folks bring up their generation favorites, such as Christmas movies, as if nothing new could ever top it.
With that said…my daughter ordered Elf on Netflix, only to discover that an Elf-athon was going on a bunch of different TV channels. In fact, I’m pretty sure Elf was on every single channel the other day. I know this because my husband bought a gigantic flat screen television that takes up most of the family room. I think I have the Elf script memorized. Without even trying.
Not to sound like one of those irksome little old ladies…but try beating Alvin and the Chipmunks as a classic!
So what’s your favorite classic? Mine is obvious: It’s a Wonderful Life. Sigh. Alvin might be cute in a squeaky sort of way, but who can beat Jimmy Stewart? Oh…but then there’s Snoopy.
LOVE Alvin & the Chipmunks. And Snoopy. And Bing Crosby's Holiday Inn and White Christmas movies.
In case you don't blog in the next couple of days, have a Blessed & Merry Christmas, Suzanne!
