My daughter, Meredith, moved out of her San Francisco apartment on Sunday. She lived there, very happily, for nearly three years after she graduated from college. She taught school by day and received her Master’s/teaching credential by night. She lived with one of her very best friends, Melissa, who is getting her JD/MBA (bright girls!). Meredith is moving home for about five weeks, then heads off to the other side of the world for a new adventure. On August 1st, she moves to China to teach at an international school.
Here are some pix of the move…
You can see Meredith’s main project for the month of July…sorting out the “stuff” she brought home. Eegads. SO MUCH STUFF!).
And a question for you…what do you do with the “stuff” your young adults bring home?
One thing not to do rent a storage most like she will not want it in the future and it cost you more to rent storage then the things are worth. You could go out and buy her new cheaper. Fill her old room she had when she was home and if it is more then will fit in it tell her she will have to down size. LOL
Good thinking, Sher! I’ll try to post pix at the end of July…to see what progress Meredith has made. 🙂 Right now…she is spilling into two rooms and stuff seems to float all over the house. Sigh…
These pictures resemble my house when my daughter moves home from college.
Actually since Barb has furniture from my Mom’s estate we do rent a storage unit but the cost adds up. She lives in Berlin as a Young Life missionary so we don’t want to pentalize her for living in Germany doing God’s work. Reminds me I need to go pay the bill this week:o((
If it is something they won’t likely ever need again, we donate it. Otherwise, to the basement it goes.
