The wedding buzz is starting around here!

Last Saturday evening, my son and his fiance were given a couples’ shower. The first shower! A very special evening. Partly because the AWFUL heat wave finally broke, but mostly because it was a lovely group of people gathered to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Gary and Amanda.

Do you remember your first shower? Being in the center of all that attention, hoping you’re showing just the right amount of enthusiasm for each gift (even if you didn’t know what it was), feeling like your face hurts from smiling. And being so grateful, too, for the love and support of family and friends.
