How is the end of June already in sight? Has this month flown past for you, too? As they say . . . time flies when you are having fun! Here are a few highlights of the month:
My youngest has left the nest to begin his post-graduate life!
We had some very cute 4-legged parishioners in church.
Oh boy . . . found this taped to a kitchen cupboard. Steve’s Serious Ice Cream is taking over my kitchen.
Thank goodness for technology and being able to FaceTime with these precious Seattle-ites!
Isn’t the bridal shower cake absolutely gorgeous?! And, even better, it tasted just as good as it looked.
Celebrating my sister’s birthday at a San Francisco landmark, Sears.
Here’s the good news about Steve’s Serious Ice Cream: I am Head of Quality Assurance. I flavor tasted vanilla chocolate chip, salted caramel with toffee, coffee, almond cherry chocolate . . . yum!
As one child leaves, another returns. Thankful for this new chapter in my daughter’s life.
Happy day, happy couple!

When does Steve’s Serious Ice Cream shop open? I want to be your first customer.
Just returned from Boise to witness the wedding of my first and oldest grandchild. I felt so blessed to see my grandson Randy marry a beautiful girl named Brittany. Not only was this the highlight of June, it was the highlight of the year!!!!!
I work for a school district, so June 6th was my last day. Now I’m on summer break along with my 3 kids. We’re participating in our library’s Summer Reading Program (they allow adults, too), making crafts, and going to minor league baseball games. On Friday we’ll be heading to San Diego for the County Fair. Then Saturday is our city’s 23rd Birthday Bash, complete with water slides, a firemen’s hose down , live music, and fireworks. After church on Sunday, we will be headed to an old-fashioned ice cream social at an old Victorian house that is a museum We’ve gone every year for the last 5 years or so, and I always park in the same spot (residential street across from the museum). Last year the whole street got parking tickets…I won’t make that mistake again! Either I got lucky all those other years or they had just put up that sign and we all hadn’t seen it…very poor sign placement. The plan for June 30th: jury duty.
How does Steve manage to stay so slender when he is making so much ice cream? Love the wedding cake with the beach chairs and shells on it. Congratulations!
Went to camp for the first time ever! It was an amazing experience!!! And I am starting horseback riding lessons!!!
