I love animals and I’m so blessed to have my dream . She’s a mini-Schnauzer named Mattie and I just love her and she loves me. She is so friendly, a wonderful companion, she’s funny (she loves to hunt bugs) and just the best. I can’t think of anything, or anyone better. My husband is so totally infatuated with her too. We are very very lucky to have her.
Karen–I have a friend with a dog like Mattie–they are CRAZY about their mini-Schnauzer! Must be great dogs. Thanks for commenting! Suzanne
I absolutely love animals and I am happy to say I have my dream pet. Her name is Gidget and she is a Chiweenie. We rescued her eight years ago when she was around five months old. Just recently, my Grandma has moved into our home and she brought along her little dog a Japanese Chin named Muffin. I love animals, dogs especially.
I follow your blog by email.
Suzanne, I have been a lover of dogs all my life. In fact, I have never been with out a dog in my 58 years. I have had a variety of breeds but for the past 16 or so years I have had dachsunds. Their short crooked legs and those long bodies and snouts…..I find them adorable! My Heidi and Josie have so much fun with each other and I have so much fun with them.
Signed up!
Definitely dogs. I love how friendly yet protective they are.
I am signed up for your blog.
I love animals. We have 3 dogs, a lab, a mix, and a rat terrier. My terrier (Simon) is 13 yrs old and he is ” very tired” lately. The perfect dream pet for me would be for my Simon to be healthy and be by my side the rest of my life. He has been a wonderful companion/friend to me.Before I had been diagnosed with colon cancer I was so ill and in a lot of pain. …Simon had never been allowed on the beds, nor had he even tried …during this illness he jumped on the bed and would lay with his paw on my head…I was able to sleep many times because he was beside me. We have since noticed with myself and my husband he senses illness and his behavior is almost panicky if he can’t be right beside us. I am very limited as to getting out because of injury and illnesses in the past and he is my comfort..,
I love animals and have two dogs. One a rescue small mix, Bogie who is a delight and a Maltese, Guido. Love them to bit. Singed up and best wishes and much happiness.
I signed up for your blog via email. I am an animal lover most of the time. I have two cats. They really are my dream pets. Except that Gillian is so high maintenance. Sheesh. I love her anyway. Have a great weekend and thanks for the giveaway! kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.
Hi Suzanne, I love both dogs and cats. My love of dogs is lifelong and I have always had dogs. I do consider them family members.
My love for cats evolved through our years on the farm and the necessity of ‘rat and mice control’.
I have signed up for your blog and I am enjoying it.
Thanks for this giveaway!

I LOVE animals! I had a beautiful wolf hybrid (wolf & Alaskan Malamute) I had to say “goodbye” to last year–he lived 13 years–the original owner was going to train him to be a mean drug dog, but asked me to temporarily watch him–the owner was arrested & incarcerated 3 yrs, 2 mon, & by then, he was my pet & companion, so I wasn’t giving him back! I have a very spoiled Chihuahua…
dream pet? hmmm….varies w/ the daydreams & where $ is not a concern…A black lab…a husky…a Golden Retriever…
I love animals. I was blessed and my dream came true. I had a dog named buddy 22 years of my life then he passed away. He got very sick and I cried. I miss him to this day! By the way I follow your blog by my email.
Already signed up for your blog… as for the perfect “dream” pet… I love animals of all shapes and sizes. I have several cats, several dogs, rabbits, a goat, horses, & chickens. I must say, my favorite animal is the moose so I’d love to have a pet one 🙂 I’d also LOVE to have a great dane or mastiff (I currently have a mastiff huskey mix that I bottle raised from the time she was 7 days old- she thinks she’s a lap dog).
I am signed up for your blog Ü
I l♥ve animals. My dream pets are dogs and horses. I’ve been blessed to have both.
Any animal needing to be loved is my dream pet. I’ve never had a pet I intended to have – just ones that needed someone to save them.
Oops and I receive your blog too!
Yes I am an animal lover,I have 5 dogs,2 inside cats,2 crabs, and several stray outside cats that I feed.I have my dream pets, they are all my babies. Thanks for sharing.
Are you an animal lover?
* Yes, I love most furbabies. God sure gave us wonderful companions that love us and make us laugh. I had a 10 pound little shih Tzu who I found abandon at a road side turn off. I took him home and he change our lives. When my mom was dying with cancer he would curl up where the tumors where and lay so quietly by her side. He was only 2 at the time I had to force him off the bed to eat and go bathroom.
What would be your “dream pet?” Dog or cat? Or something else…?
* For me any type of pet is a dream pet (maybe not snakes). I volunteer at a local charity that looks after dogs and cats. When it is garage sale season I try to find as much items (towels, blankets, toys, pet supplies) as I can. One trip, I came home with my truck full of stuff even 3 bags of food. All for $10. God is good and so are these amazing creatures.
Looking forward to your books. Thanks.
Don’t put my name in the drawing. I previously won one of your books. Give someone else the chance. I grew up always having a house dog. As an adult, I have never gone long without a dog. When our 14 yr old Pete(daushund) died we did not have the heart to replace him. It was as if we lost a child. A year later one of our sons brought by a box of puppies that needed a home. A breeder did not want people to know they had a mixed breed. Our son came along as they were about to destroy the litter and set out to find them each a home. Of course we took the most beautiful mixed mini-“weenie”and terrier little girl. She has the most even temperament. The whole family has enjoyed her for 5 years now. The grands have” taken her tonsils out”, “put tubes in her ears”, “bandaged pretend boo-boos” and dressed her for every occasion. She allows them to play with her anyway they wish. In turn she “writes books” for them for special occasions and “sends” them cards & gifts. With firefighters in the family she is also the only dog I know who stop, drops and rolls on command.
I LOVE animals and would have one of every kind if I could afford it but as of right now I have 4 dream pets, Smokey an American bulldog who nobody wanted has found a home with our family, Sassy who is a happy and hyper Boston Terrier, Kyli is a West Highland Terrier and is very much spoiled rotten, her favorite thing to do is nap in one of the family members beds wrapped up in many blankets. And finally Prissy who is a rescue cat and is the favorite of my mom. I don’t know what I would do without my pets who are more like family than animals, I thank God everyday that he gave us them to protect and love.
I am a follower of the blog.

Hi there, I am a follower of your blog and enjoy it. I also used to volunteer at Canine Companions headquarters in Santa Rosa, Ca. so I appreciate service dogs. Always wanted a breeder but then worked full time so couldn’t do it. For me, I’ve always been a dog person; in fact, friends used to call me dog lady-because I knew so much about dogs. My life wouldn’t be complete without a dog in it. Thanks for the chance to win a great book.
Noreen
I follow your blog via email. I have been around dogs all my life. I recently had to put down my 17 year old Lab/Dalmatian cross. It was one of the hardest days of my life. My house and yard was so sad without a dog that I went out to our local shelter the next week and got a new pup! I felt bad replacing my beloved older dog, but it was just too lonely without one. By the way, I would love to win a book! Thanks for the chance.
Yes, I am an animal lover! I currently have a Yorkie by the name of Stewart. Yep, he is named after Tony Stewart (NASCAR driver) because I am a huge fan of Tony Stewart and racing in general. We got Stewart when he was 4 months old and we have been best buds ever since. He brings so much joy into our lives. The best feeling is when you walk in the door and he is always standing there and so happy to see us. He is a gift from god.
6 yrs ago I got my dream dog and didn’t know it at the time! A friends daughter had to find a home for her 4 month old Golden retriever. I had never had one and took this 40# bundle of fur sight unseen and he has brought such joy into our home ever since! Love your dogs… They are beautiful and bless others.
I used to have a Chihuahua until just a few years ago. She was 16 and I guessed it was a heart attack that took her life. She was a sweetie and loved by all the kids and grandkids. I decided not to get another, for I’m getting older and do not have anyone to tend her if I’m in the Hosp. or on a trip. Plus, I can’t afford the care. We have owned a Dachshund , two poodles, and many mixed breeds through the years. We also had one cat years ago we called HOBO because we picked him up on the road during a trip. I am a follower of your blog and a subscriber and would love to win this book. Thanks Suzanne. MAXIE mac262(at)me(dot)com
I have my dream pet now. Her name is Penny. She is a fourteen year old poodle. She has been ill for a few months, so is more rotten than ever. She follows my ever step. I am going to be lost without her.
Hi Suzanne, I’ve been reading your blog for a long time. I love animals. We have the sweetest toy poodle name Sophie. She is definitely part of our family. And kisses, she gives them by the dozens. She 7 and still acts like a puppy.
I just signed up for your blog! My dream pet was really a family member, as they are! I had a Maltese, Max, for 14 years. He was my service dog, as well as a therapy dog, and actor (on live stage in a small private college). He made friends everywhere he went. He helped my puppy mill adopted dogs get comfortable with their new freedom. He and one of my former mill mamas raised several litters of kittens. One of those kittens is my grandkitty! He died in Feb 2012, and I miss him very much. I am hoping to get another Maltese to train as my service dog soon.
I follow your blog and I would have a hard time deciding between a pygmy goat or a mini pig as my favorite pet. Currently I have 2 dogs, Toby, a daschund and Angel a Shih Tuz. We have 4 cats from ages 18 years to 4 months. There is never a dull moment in our house.
I have a miniature schnauzer named Bandit. My husband and I went on a vacation and came home with him.
We have had female mini schnauzers. My husband has one named Bailey. We had to have mine, Molly put to sleep last year. So when we saw him, he stole our hearts…thus the name Bandit! He has ended up being the smartest little puppy. Barks when he needs to go outside, wants an ice cube, a drink or food. He is my little lap dog! Very spoiled but a loveable pet!!
I signed up for your blog. I love all animals. But I have to stay with dogs because I am too allergic to cats and other hairy animals to have them. There are only certain breds I can that are hypoalergenic.
I have a cat named Lizzie. I found her as a kitten 3 years ago.
I follow your blog.
I have already signed up for your blog. I am an animal lover, especially dogs! I have a mixed breed that I rescued 3 years ago that had been terribly abused. She took a while to trust me or anyone. Now she is my “baby”.
I am signed up for your blog. I am an animal lover. I always had animals while growing up. Cats, dogs, we even had a mini farm, so we had cows, chickens and goats. I guess my favorite was my horse Monopoly, I just loved him. For one reason or another my parents had to sell him. I so missed him. I would again like to own a horse some day. I currently have one cat, she is a calico bob tail and she is just the sweetest thing and has brought me great joy. Your dogs are beautiful. May God continue to bless, Lisa
I love animals too, but my favorite are cats. We have two long-haired indoor cats that are spoiled rotten. Smokey is a blue -gray cat and Buffy is orange and white. They are really sweet cats.
I joined your blog! I really enjoyed reading all of it! I love animals. I have a Dog who is getting very old and have recently been thinking about a cat. My youngest child recently got married and the house sometimes feels a little lonely.
I’ve signed up for your blog! Love it and also love the picture..too, too sweet! I own my dream dog…I love toy poodles and I have had four of them. Currently I have little Missy, who is a year old and is considered on most days my ‘wild’ child! I said when I got a home of my own I would have a toy poodle for each room….thankfully I outgrew that notion as I can really only handle one at a time! Thanks for the opportunity to win! Linda
Fish, seahorses, turtles, chameleons, parakeets; I’ve had them all. I love my kitties, but I wish I could keep horses again. Do horses count as pets?
PS. I have signed up for your blog.
I think you have the right idea, Suzanne! You have pets for a purpose! You love & care for your dog(s) and let them “give back” in a very meaningful way. We have always had dogs, but do not have any at the moment. I do find myself getting upset when I hear what we as Americans spend on our pets. I think we have things a little topsy turvy in that regard…but God definitely has given animals as a gift for man to take care of & enjoy.
I am already signed up to get your blog!
I’ve signed up for your blog.
I love both dogs and cats and currently have three wonderful Yorkshire Terriers, but my dream pet would be an African Elephant! I think they are amazing creatures … but it’s only a dream, because I could definitely not be able to afford to feed one. 🙂
1. I’m signed up on your blog and newsletter.
2. Dream pet would be a horse. They are beautiful, however we live in the city.
Just a little note:
We have a little boy named Lucky, he is 1/2 deer chihuahua and 1/2 miniature schnauzer. He turned two in March. He thinks he is human. We treat him as a member of the family. If we had a big yard I would love to have a baby like Tess and Toffee. They are beautiful.
Here’s a funny video with Vines featuring dogs LOL

I have signed up for your blog, but then I probably already was…hehe..Yes, I LOVE animals and they seem to know that and love me…I like both dogs and cats(moreso cats..;) ) Unfortunately, we cannot have pets where we live now. However we lived out in the country for fifteen years and we had several(there were originally 17 when we first moved out there) cats. One in particular, a beautiful calico barn cat named Jeni Lynn (named after my oldest brother’s then girlfriend) was like a member of our family. She was my friend when I had no others..Her devotion could match a dogs and she followed us on our walks(and me anywhere) and came when I called her name/whistled. At one point we thought that she had died and we were heartbroken..But, one day she came walking back up the road and ran to meet us. I cannot properly explain the rush of feelings that filled us all at that time, or when I had to leave her behind forever when we moved. I never saw her again, but four years later, God gave me friends..I have no idea what my dream pet would be…NOT a reptile…or chickens..Before God called me into music I wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess that I would have to say a horse and you’re the first person I’ve ever told that…and plenty of cats(all kinds) and other animals that I cannot recall..;) Thank you for asking! Blessings, Juli

2. Cat lover totally. 🙂 But my dream pet would be a buffalo. Yup, you read that correctly. I’m slightly odd.
Dog, I once had a golden lab cross , but I had to rehome my English Shepard when we move from TN to ny . Miss him so much…

Hi, Suzanne!
Love hearing that you breed dogs for the blind – it must be very rewarding, & the parent dogs are beautiful!
I don’t have any pets at present, but have had numerous one over the years – chickens, rabbits, dogs (chow, cocker spaniel, shiz-tu), & my favorites were the rabbits & chow. My dream pet is unrealistic (a baby tiger), because – of course, it would get BIG!!!!
Thanks for the book giveaway opportunity!
I am a blog follower.
Yes, I am an animal lover. Presently don’t have one because of the loss of my last one. It’s always so hard. But I share the love with the pets of my daughter and mom!
I am a CAT person. I am a blog follower. Would love to win a book.
I love dogs, it doesn’t matter the breed, as long as they are friendly and loving.
Over the years, I’ve had many kinds, and the mixed breeds are just as wonderful as the pure breeds.
I dont have a pet ,im cant because of the fleas, but my brother has a german shepherd and that dog just love me,and my sister in law think that the dog talk to me ,lol and her name is Baby thank Suzanne

am a dog lover; love almost every dog I come in contact with or see
my ideal would be to have our Sam, Apricot toy poodle, back on earth. Miss him terrible
I am a dog lover of Collies and Shelties. Right now my husband and I have a Collie named Tippie and two Shelties named Alasdair and Tristan. Alasdair thinks he is a Collie so he is a little big for a Sheltie weighing in at around 40 lbs. We also had Collies named Lassie and Kadie but they both passed away years ago. It was so hard losing them, they became like one of the family. They are truly missed. I have signed up for your blog.
