When I’m not writing, researching, or editing, I play tennis a couple of times a week, and I love to garden and cook! I’m not great at any of those hobbies, but I love doing them. The other hobby that takes up a lot of my spare time is raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. They’re like potato chips . . . you can’t stop at one.
What do you love doing in your free time, away from your day job?

This week I saw there a short film directed by Bebe Neuwirth with discussion with her afterwards that was great fun. She is so funny. I also saw Live from Red Square which was two Russian opera singers–extremely theatrical.

I signed up for your email I don’t understand how to blog..lol I enjoy spending time with my mom and we will talk while I do my plastic canvas crafts and she either knits or crochetes. She taught me this last year about how she crochetes booties and hats for her churches ministry to the hospitals overseas in Africa. I joined my churches prayer blanket ministry to learn how to make blankets. And many evenings we will sit out on the deck and watch nature and just share. We both love to read and enjoy talking about what we have been reading and we swap books. We are trying to learn how to live simplier lives and get back to our roots.
In my free time I read, write on my story, knit and crochet for an Indian reservation in South Dakota, learn how to cook new dishes, teach Bible Study and do things with the girls every now and then. It’s loads of fun and I wish I had more free time and space for gardening. I love growing plants and flowers.
