It’s hard to believe that the month of May has arrived! Today is my youngest daughter’s birthday. She’s getting married in July and is spending this weekend with some of her bridesmaids at the beach—kind of a low-key bachelorette party. And maybe you know this from my Facebook page . . . but my youngest son is getting married later this month. Two weddings, just six weeks apart! A verrrrrrrryyyyy big “season” kicks off for our family, starting today. Exciting!
But . . . less I digress . . . May 1st also means My Favorite Things Day!
Etsy
Actually, that brings me right back to these upcoming weddings! I’ve been spending a LOT of time on Etsy and can’t say enough good things about it. If you haven’t discovered Etsy yet, you’re in for a treat. It’s an online marketplace of handmade or vintage products. I’ve bought quite a lot of things off Etsy, and have never been disappointed.
You’ve probably seen this chalk board sign before . . . I use it ALL the time to welcome people to our home—for small group, for houseguests, for showers, for birthdays! My niece borrowed it for her wedding, too. Below was a welcome for a shower I gave for my friend Katrina’s daughter, Lindsey, just last Saturday.
Nancy Nikko Designs
My daughter is having a “Chinoiserie” wedding—with blue and white porcelain as accent pieces (a nod to our years living in Hong Kong, plus she met her fiancé while they were teachers at an international school in China). For my daughter’s birthday today, I ordered customized stationery from Nancy Nikko Designs. Terrific customer service, I received the stationery within a week, and I loved, loved, loved the end product. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
