Thought you’d enjoy these work-in-progress pix!

I have the best luck with the humble flowers–geraniums, zinnias, sunflowers, begonias. I’m sure there’s a metaphor in that. Gotta have nasturtiums at the edge of the beds. This one was a volunteer from last year. The best kind!

Toffee kept getting in the middle of the pix. Silly pup.

Begonias are…da bomb.

I grew these sunflowers from seed. I try to grow a lot for bird seed. Will show more pix as they get big and bloom. They are so breathtaking!

This is an Amish cantaloupe! I couldn’t resist.

Honestly…is there anything better than a homegrown strawberry?!

My dad helped me plant these grapes, when he was in early stages Alzheimer’s. They always remind me of him.

Apples are starting to drop from the trees!

Tomatoes are starting to come in. All kinds! Cherry, beefsteak, pear. Dee-lish.

What’s a garden without basil? I have a lot of plants scattered throughout the garden beds. I want to harvest it all summer long.

What about you? Do you have summer favorites that you grow each year?
Very nice photos of your garden. I am not a gardener but I admire those who are.
