Welcome back to Thoroughly Modern Mimis! Mimi, Grammy, Nana, GiGi, Oma, Grandma . . . they’re all terms of endearment for one of the most important roles in life’s second act: grandparenting. And what a grand act it is!
Having grandchildren two states away, virtual grandparenting is a must. We use FaceTime all. the. time. From reading stories, to showing TV clips, to seeing silly faces, we find ways to keep in touch via technology with our favorite little Seattle-ites.
Story time with grandpa!

Love these sweet faces!
What about you? I’d love to know how you keep in touch with your grandchildren who live far away?

Facebook and visiting and telephone calls. I have face time on my cell phone. It looks like you have an ebook with face time. I didn’t know that you could get face time on an ebook. That would be nice.
