This story on ABC World News touched me, for lots of reasons.
Even at 102 years of age, in hospice with a failing heart, this grandmother was so interested in her granddaughter’s life that she inspired this awesome moment.
And her granddaughter treasured their connection. She kept using the word “strong” for her grandmother. That grandmother is the kind of Mimi I hope to be to my growing brood.
Click on this link (my apologies for the 12 second ad that pops up first):
STRONG is a word that should define every true love.
I like that, Rick!
That was touching. I prayd my granddaughter and I would be close but I don’t think that’s going to happen. My daughter is not close to me so I never hardly get to see my granddaughter she’s only seven.
Debbie, there’s a new book I’ve just read that you might enjoy: “Overcoming Grandparenting Barriers.” Lots of valuable, practical info to help. Our small group read it together and got a lot out of it. Let me know if you read it and like it. ~Suzanne
It is so good to see this young lady have so much value for her grandmother. I truly believe that there are many, many more people in our country that have this young lady’s attributes! Unfortunately, we rarely get to hear or see about this wonderful moment in time. I agree – it touched my heart.
Same here, Loretta! Touched my heart. ~Suzanne
What a Beautiful story! I Loved it! and yes , that Grandmother is the kind of Granny I would like to be my grandchildren also. Thank you so much for sharing it Suzanne. God Bless you.
