Recently, we attended a shower for Amanda, my soon-to-be daughter-in-law, given by her maid of honor. So fun! The details made the evening extra special.
From top left to bottom right: My daughter Lindsey and me, before the shower. Me, Lindsey, and my sister, Wendy, who drove two hours to come to the shower. Baby Kaitlin is much more interested in Lindsey’s necklace than in posing for the photographer. (Pssst . . . don’t tell Meredith, but we raided her closet! Lindsey’s wearing Meredith’s dress, shoes, and beads.)
From top left to bottom right: G for Gary, A for Amanda. So cute! Don’t you love this setting? Amanda and Kaitlin, her maid of honor and chief BFF.
Party favors—specialty coffee beans!
Can you believe these cupcakes? Made by the maid of honor’s cousin, who should open her own shop!
Amanda opening gifts and breaking the ribbons! Yea for the old wedding tradition! Each broken ribbon = one future baby. So pretty as the sun went down and the lights went up. Amanda’s good friends from childhood and college years. Lovely, lovely girls.

Suzanne, Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed seeing all the pictures. I loved the box for recipes. Food looks so good. Looks like everyone had a great time and the maid of honor did an outstanding job.
Thanks, Debra! So fun to see other’s creativity. Gives me all kinds of ideas–no doubt the reason Pinterest is such a wow site. Glad to know you’re enjoying the Wednesday pix!
