Forgiveness is a tricky topic . . . one we often try to avoid. The Heart of the Amish is by far my most personal book. I feel so passionate about this book for a simple reason: I needed it. It was powerful to study the topic of forgiveness from different angles, to research its physical and emotional effects, and to interview Amish people who show us, by their example, that there’s a better way to handle conflict. Writing this book changed me and I hope reading it will change you!
A Self-Deception
We just don’t have much control over the things that happen to us in life. To think that your life will be perfect and nothing will ever go wrong is a serious self-deception.
What’s harder to forgive: a big thing or a small thing? Why? Submit your thoughts on forgiveness (250 words of less) to info {at} suzannewoodsfisher {dot} com. I’ll pick a story to share on my blog next week and the winner will receive a copy of The Heart of the Amish!
