I didn't care for the way she depicted her life as an Amish person. heard her speak in person last year.We have been friends with an Amish family in Lancaster County for 28 years. The stories she told aren't a true reflexion of the Amish life I've experienced all these years. We stay right in there home when we're there. It's all about family, church and community. We are blessed that they have welcomed us into there family. Attended all the weddings of the children. There to share in the joy of new grandchildren. One thing I found untrue with my Amish friends, they use sewing machines that are air and battery driven, not the old pedal one's that Saloma refered to. That is just ONE thing she reported that I disputed. Sorry, I didn't find her enlightening at all.
I understand your perspective. I don't think Saloma's story represents all the Amish, but it is her story. Thank you for bringing out your side of the story, too.
where’s my post? not writing the whole post out again lol you missed a typo mods
