My favorite books of 2014. I didn’t realize what a bent I have toward non-fiction until after I thought about what book to recommend.
Proof of Heaven
by Eben Alexander, M.D.
Daring Greatly
by Brene Brown
Forward from Here
by Reeve Lindbergh
Call the Midwife
by Jennifer Worth
Defining Decade
by Meg Jay. All about the significance of the mid-20s to mid-30s. A must-read if you are that age or if someone you love is in that range.

Hi Suzanne
My most favorite book I read in 2014 was Josiah For President by Martha Bolton.
Second was Woman of Courage by Wanda Brunstetter .
Third was Hidden by Vannetta Chapman.
I have to say that I read mostly fiction. Call The Midwife by Jennifer Worth looks very inviting.
Shirley
Hi Shirley! Thank you for your book list! I’ve read a couple of those you’ve read, too. Good stories! Warmly, Suzanne
I have read too many books to pick a favorite. I enjoy all Amish books.
Thank you, Sharon, for chiming in and for your encouraging words about Amish fiction. Happy new year to you! Warmly, Suzanne
Happy New Year to you too.
I know I’m getting to this late, but I saved this to write down some suggestions for my own book list. 🙂 I read a GREAT book last year ironically entitled ‘The Waiting’. I know you have a book called ‘The Waiting’ as well, which I’d read before and really liked it (I liked that series a lot), but this one I just read last year is by Cathy LaGrow. It’s non-fiction and the main character is still alive and it’s SO good!! I know you’d really like it! Thanks for sharing your favorites from last year, it’s fun to get some new ideas.
