In Perfect Time cover email

Sarah: Occupation:

Kay: Flight nurse based in Italy.

Sarah: What is the most interesting thing about you?

Kay: I’m one of the first flight nurses. I’m a registered nurse and worked as a stewardess before World War II broke out. When I heard about the plan to send nurses on air evacuation flights, I wanted to be one of the pioneers.

Sarah: What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Kay: Bold, controlled, irredeemable.

Sarah: What do you do for fun?

Kay: I love to go out dancing, and I especially like dating several men at a time. Nothing serious. Just for fun.

Sarah: What is your life motto or goal?

Kay: Stay in control. No matter what, stay in control.

Sarah: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Kay: My voice. If I could sing, my parents would have loved me. But I don’t talk about that. Forget I said that.

Sarah: Favorite food:

Kay: Nothing better than a hot dog at a baseball game.

Sarah: Share a favorite childhood memory:

Kay: Learning I was good at schoolwork and had a chance to get away from home. That’s the only good part of my childhood.

Sarah: What is the most important thing to you?

Kay: I want to become a chief nurse. I can’t imagine going back to ward nursing after the war—not when I’ve experienced the independence of flight nursing. I like the administrative side of nursing and would enjoy a leadership role. If I can get into the Army Air Forces’ chief nurse program, I’ll be set for after the war.

Sarah: Biggest pet peeve:

Kay: Boyfriends who get too serious. They leave me no choice but to break up with them.

In Perfect Time | Wings of the Nightingale series

Bold, sophisticated, and flirtatious, Army Air Force flight nurse Lt. Kay Jobson collects hearts wherever she flies, leaving men pining in airfields all across Europe. So how can ruggedly handsome C-47 pilot Lt. Roger Cooper be all but immune to her considerable charms? In fact, he seems to do everything he can to avoid her.

Still, as they cross the skies between Italy and southern France, evacuating the wounded and delivering paratroopers and supplies, every beat of their hearts draws them closer to where they don’t want to go.
Can they confront the fears and misunderstandings in their pasts?

  46. Hi Suzanne. Thanks for having Sarah on the Spotlight. I enjoyed her interview with Kay. When I was a teenager we did date more than one guy. Now if they date a guy, it is expected you are going steady. I don’t like that idea. This story sounds so good. I would love to win it. Please put my name in. I have two of her books. Thanks for the give away. GOD bless both of you.
