A Day In My Life: A Day in Hong Kong

Below are some snapshots from my recent trip to Hong Kong:

A view of Victoria Harbour. Look how blue the water is! Very different from when we lived there in the 1990s. Hong Kong is so much cleaner than it used to be–a result of the SARS epidemic.

The Star Ferry is one of my favorite travel moments . . . ever. Costs about 25 cents. (I took the photo and “vintaged it up” with Snapseed).

The first Starbucks had opened up when we were leaving Hong Kong in 2000. Today . . . they’re ubiquitous!

One of my favorite buildings–the Lippo Centre. Panda bears are climbing up the sides.

Rickshaws are now just for tourists.

We took a familiar ride–the 260 bus over to Stanley, where we had lived.

The top level of the bus, right up front, is one of the best amusement rides in the world!

Stopped at our favorite restaurant in Repulse Bay, Spices, and it was even better than we remembered.

A few pix of the school where our children attended: Hong Kong International School. And the church where we worshiped: Church of All Nations (CAN).

The last few pix are of the Manhattan, the apartment building where we lived.

See the yellow flag in the tree? I’m pretty sure that belonged to one of my sons.

Happy memories for us! We loved our time in Asia–it changed us forever.
