My Weekend: A Family Wedding

My husband’s brother got married this last Saturday to a lovely woman. We tried something different—my daughter, Meredith, my soon-to-be-daughter-in-law, Amanda, and I went to a “blow-dry-bar”!

There was a wonderful reception at an old Hacienda nearby. Temps were a wee bit warm! On the way to the church, the car temp said it was 109 degrees. Hooboy.

They had a contest to see which couple had been married the longest. We were second longest, at 31 years. His cousins, Grant and Kathy, took the prize at 47 years.

Trying to get a formal picture out of two boys is like . . . nailing jello to a tree (top), and Steve and me (bottom).
