1 vote for #1,because I love the smile on the little girls face.
I like number 2 cover.
I vote for number 1, love that sweet smile!
While I think number one is cuter with her smile… I think number two is more pleasing to the eye as far as book covers go. SO my vote is #2
Go with Number 1, Her smile is adorable
I vote for #1. Love her smile.
I vote for # 2. Something about way the little girl and the background send a peaceful message. Makes me want to read the book NOW!
I love #1. There's something charming and mischievous about it, and it seems less cluttered.
Omgoodness!!!! I vote for #1, that is the sweetest!
Although I loooove the smile in #1, I agree that #2 looks great for a book cover.
I like them both but I think number 2 is more mischievous and thus fitting for "ADVENTURES with Lily Lapp"
I would say #1 cover as it looks more friendly and not as a "posed" look.
I vote for #1, the smile is infectious, but also as it is about the Amish, I like it better that she is not looking at the camera
I like the first one. It seems natural and even the youngest of Amish children are trained not to pose for pictures. I think it captures her in her element and gives us a sense of mischief that all children find. I can't wait to read it:-)
Love #1, it looks natural, like she's been caught off-guard. But, either is just adorable!
I LOVE number 2! It is SO cute!
utrymkn5@yahoo.com for newsletter!!!
I choose two
I like # 1.
She looks so happy and innocent.
Carolyn Jefferson
I like #2. She looks so sweet and off to do her chores! It doesn't seem like it is posed like the first one does.
Blessings!
Judy
#1 because it is such a natural smile
Sally Roehr
I like the second one. She looks mischievous and so cute, not as posed.
Cover number 2! She looks like she is up to mischief!!
I liked number 1, I agree with Heidi, It doesnt look as posed. She looks happy and enjoying her little life.
I like #1 – her smile is warm and it makes you wonder what she is looking at with that pretty smile on her face.
I like #2, looks more like she's off on an adventure – #2 is too posed.
Definitely #1! The cover just pulls you in and grabs you. Love it!
Number one, for a variety of reasons. It's gorgeous.
Love #1 to me it seems more natural 2 looks more like a pose.
Her expression in #1 is just precious, but I think cover #2 is more appealing for a book cover.
I like #2. Not sure why — it just appeals to me. She is so cute
I like number 2. She looks a little mischievous in it.
Vote for #1 I think that is shows the work ethic more of the Amish than just leaning on a tree. Besides, that smile is wonderful! Both are cute though!
They are both great pictures, but I pick #1. I love the smile in that one, it looks like she was caught off guard with the photo.
The second one looks like she is standing there waiting for her picture to be taken.
Blessings, Tina

Number two! So cute!!
I like number 1 cover because she has cute little smile and looks like she's up to some mischief or has a secret…it makes me want to know more about her.
#1 Love her smile as she turns to ask "Well are you coming"?
I vote for cover #2, just captures the eye and looks more inviting. I love the smile on the first one but two is the grapper.
I asked our daughter, Gracie, who will be a 11 in a couple of weeks. We met you in Sarasota, Fl. with Sherry Gore.
Gracie said #2 b/c it looks like she is having a rest after finishing up her chores.
Kelly Pitt
Number 1! Not only is her smile adorable, but the way she's looking back over her shoulder and the expression on her face says so much about her personality! It makes my imagination run rampant thinking about the mischief she might be getting into
I vote for number 2!
I like both pictures, but I really like the relaxed look of the girl leaning against the tree, she looks shy but friendly.
number 1 is my pick she looks like she is up to something
Number 1. I like the fact that she is not looking at the camera, since the Amish do not photograph. The first one could have been captured without her knowing the picture was being taken. Number 2 is acorable too, but too posed for an Amish photo.
I LOVE the first one due to that sweet rather mischievous look on the little girl's face. Appealing and grabs your attention right away.
I would choose #2. She looks so sweet and innocent. Sometimes those are the ones you need to watch more!
#1 is my fave. I like that she's not looking directly at the camera like #2. #1 looks more natural.
I love #1 adorabe
I like number one. I like that she's looking away.
I LIKE BOTH BUT #1 JUST POPS OUT THERE AND MAKES YOU THINK OF ALL THE MISCHIEF SHE could GET IN TO ?
I would vote for #1. They are both great but in the first one she looks like she is up to something and I think it fits better to the title of the book. She looks like she is adventurous.
Number 11is hands down! Don't know if my first post got posted didn't see it appear.
Typo #1
You gotta go with #2!
I vote for #1. Its a not so typical cover that will be an attention grabber.
I vote for number 1. I just love the smile on her face.
number one for me
I prefer the second cover, because I think that the tree and barn door frame the little girl better.
Kaye Whitney
kayewhitney@bellsouth.net
I love #1 with the little girl looking back. It just seems to capture a outgoing, playful girl.
I adore #1. The smile is real and draws me to want to read the book. #2 is much more "fake" looking and not as pleasing.
I like the number 1 cover. I think a spark of personality shows up in that one
I think #2…not sure of my reason why it just seemed to grab my attention
Geri Kelley
Gkkel@aol.com
#1, definitely. Not so posed, and it doesn't seem right for an Amish girl to look straight into a camera.
I LIKE THE FIRST ONE BEST.SHE'S A LITTLE CUTIE PIE.DEBBIE MOSLEY
debbiemosley44@hotmail.com
My favorite is #1. However, they are both precious. Just something about that sweet little girl.
Number 1. Darling picture.
#1 she has that mischievous look
#1 she is so adorable.
#1 gets my vote…can't wait! =)
#1 looks more natural to me-the other looks posed
#1
I vote for #1 because she is not looking at the camera.
asmac1@comcast.net
#2 is my favorite
I choose #1!!!
#1!! She looks like she's on an adventure!
@ 2 is my choice!
Number 1 gets my vote!
#1 is the best cover.
I like cover #1 the best…
#1 for sure….
#2 looks "staged"…..
darling little girl posing…..
#1 has my vote.
I like #2 It just seems more realistic to me!
I vote for #1.
Both pictures are lovely, but I think in #1 the adorable little girl looks more ready for adventure – she's even looking behind her as if she thinks someone is already following or chasing her, or as if she's inviting them to – whereas in #2 she looks more sedate and patient (and therefore, in my opinion, not as adventurous).
Can't wait to begin reading the series!
Ann
I like both but if I had to pick it would be #2. Can't wait to read.
Both are precious! Good luck!
#1!
I vote for #1. I would be more apt to pick up a book with that as the cover. She is very sweet and happy and ready to go! Great cover!
Susannah
the one of her looking back it doesn't look poise where the one looking at the camera could. And have hard Amish don't poise for pictures…
I vote for #2 it is a very appealing look. They are both sweet pictures though but #2 looks like she has a story to tell. So looking forward to reading this book.
I vote for #1 because I love the smile on her mouth and in her eyes. She looks like she's one happy little girl
I cast my vote for #1…….
I vote for #1.
Love #1!
#1, it looks more natural!
I love that smile on picture #1- looks like she has done got into some mischief- how adorable!!!!
#2
Love, love #2
#1
It is so hard to choose as they are both too cute! Are you doing both hard and soft covers? If so one on each cover would be a great way doing that! If not then cover 2 is my pick!
#2……I got a warmer feeling when I saw it!
Hard to explain!
#1 just the sweet smile on the little girl.
OK: Number 1 is adorable.. and since the title is 'Life with Lily', I am guessing she is a bit mischievous and has lots of ups and downs. So go with number one. Number 2 is more reserved, quaint, and perhaps the perfect cover for the 2nd book in the series!
Love the second one!
my choice is #1 she just looks like a Lily precious:)
I prefer #1. The little girl looks so natural in that photo.
#1. Love her smile
#2 – she invites me in to read her story.
#1
#2 It is eye catching!
I really like #1 :O)
I like cover #1. May I also say that I was just blown away when I came to your blog….I have started reading your books recently and you are truly one of my favorite authors. I had no idea that clicking on the link to "my co-author's blog" would bring me to the blog of someone whose books I already love. Keep writing! Thanks!
I love number 1 because of her beautiful smile. Her facial expression is so open, inviting and endearing.
I like the #1 because it looks natural and not posed
Vote for #1, live the smile.
I love them both but I would have to say #2 is my pick. Her face just looks like it is inviting you to come join in the adventure. She also has a certain mischievous look to her.
I love them both, but for a book cover I like #2 better. Not sure why…
I vote for cover #2
I don't like either one, they look fake…..Amish don't pose. I think it would look better to not have an actual person posing, making just a shot of an Amish farm. Or just her hand with the bucket from the back.
I like number 1, cause it looks natural and childlike!
I like #1 the most. They're both so precious!
Carol
cicicarman@gmail.com
I like number 2 ,the red tablecloth just stands out to me !!
I like # 2 as it has that shy look that most Amish children have
#1 most definitely. She's got some mischief in her!
I like number 1! It looks like she is being more like a child. She is looking back like I dare you to follow me!!
My pick would be #2.
I like picture # 1.. Its nature and she isn't posing for the picture. Reminds me of the way little kids look when they have done something mischievous. Love it….
# 1 – it's winner!!
I like both of them, but I'd say # 1
They are both great pictures but for me i would go with one where she smiling and showing teeth, and caring the pail of milk.
And if you have another book of this little girl coming after the first then the second picture would be the next chose.(Guess i'm just wishful thinking out loud here).
regardless of witch picture you chose i'm going to look froward reading the book once it hits the shelves!
#1 I love her smile cant wait for the series
I vote for # 1.. her smile is Priceless…
Being her dad, I vote for both! But, if I had to choose, I would choose #2. It looks so much like her personality. I'm a proud papa!
#1. I prefer her not looking at the camera directly.
Girl #1 is my favorite. She looks like she'll be a friend. Girl #2 looks like she's only smiling because someone told her she had to.
#1, it makes me want to see who or what is coming up from behind.
#1. An Amish child would not "pose" as in the second. The first looks natural with her kapp a little back and tendrils of her hair escaping in the breeze.
I like everything about #1, so I vote for it.
#1!!!! Don't exactly know why… but I think it just fits more & is more natural as an Amish child.
I vote for cover #1. It is "all little girl" – sweetness, a mischievous glint in her sweet eyes, a bucket for carrying her chores or her treasures, etc. She is also centered on the cover and centered on the "title band"
Number 2 because she looks a bit more serious and not so "impish."
What cute gorgeous covers. I vote for #2
#1 I love her smile!
I love them both! But I like #1 the best. Seems to be intriguing…what is she thinking. I'm sure the book will be wunderbaar no matter which cover is chosen! Dar Frigo Guidry userdg53@aol.com
Number 2 is the best!
I vote for #1.
#1. her smile is awesome. I feel like #2 is the typical Amish book cover.
Definitely #1. I love her smile. I also detect a hint of mischief in that smile.
I definitely vote for #1. I think it looks more natural. Gorgeous girl, btw!
Not sure you could go wrong with either cover, but my vote is for #2,
I love them both, but I would go with #1. The adorable smile simply melts your heart.
The first cover is the total innocence and happiness of youth but I think she also looks like she is ready to have an adventure in her protected world. I vote for cover #1.
I vote for #2, the first one looks a little bit like the American Girls series, but I like the composition of the second one better, the layout is more pleasing to the eye.
#1
I like #2. The smile on the little girl on cover #1 is very cute, but I like the layout of cover #2 better. I'm excited to read this when it comes out!
I think #1 because she looks sweet, but mischievous . Always up for fun!
#1!
#1
I vote for #1. It looks naturally precious; the other one looks much too posed.
I love both but if I had to choose it would be #2, good luck
I'll vote for #1, it looks much more natural and cute.
I vote for #1 but they are both adorable!!!
I vote for #1. Both are great but 1 is playful and natural looking.
Both are so sweet but I will vote for #2. Smile is so sweet & she looks so innocent.
Oh wow, tough decision. I like them both, but favor #1.
My husband and I both like the first one because the little girl looks like she has just discovered something fun or is caught up in the moment of activity which alludes to the "adventure" in the title.
#1 Wow, what a sweet picture and smile! #2 is too posed
Nancy
They both are pretty, but #2 is my favorite. Thanks…Jackie Tessnair
I would choose cover #1 if the series is about her michievousness and antics. If the series focuses more on how sweet and obedient she it, I would choose cover #2.
Definitely #2!
I like number 1 because it looks like you just caught her spontaneously. She looks a bit too mischeivous in number 2.
My favorite is cover #1. Why? Because it captures the mischief of children that age. It is also a less cluttered picture and very 'Plain.'
As an "Englisher" who is interacting almost daily with young Amish children from half-dozen or so families, #2, with her shy, holding back, but intent gaze, much more closely reflects the children I see. Even after months of seeing me, and talking to me, they are intrigued, interested, but timid each new day, then warming up after a few minutes. Have never seen any appear like #1's posture and expression.
I thought I liked #1 but now I like #2. This little girl is so cute that I think either one would be fantastic, Suzanne! Great choices.
I love # 1!
Ivana
I like number 2. It looks more like a book cover.
I vote for number two. The little girls look is mischievous and I love the little pail that she is holding. Reminds me of Little House on the Prairie somehow and half pint . LOL
Something familiar like that would make me buy the book. Now I'm curious.
I vote for number 1, as she looks the most adorable.
I Vote for the 1st book cover.
#1
#1 caught my eye the best
I love her smile in #1 but I feel like #2 fits the time period … so #2 it is!
Love both, but #1 is my favorite.
I love both of them!! I was instantly drawn to the natural adorable smile on #1, but something about #2 appeals to the little-girl-reader inside me, as if she were saying, "Come with me. Join me in my adventure. Let's be friends."
I love both of them
