Leo the Hero

Leo, a little Jack Russell Terrier cross, lives in Melbourne, Australia. Just last night, a fire broke out in Leo’s home. The owners, a family of four, escaped but Leo refused to leave the house. Firemen entered the house and found Leo standing guard over a box of newborn kittens despite the thick, acrid smoke.

Leo lost consciousness and stopped breathing, but was revived when rescuers gave him oxygen and a heart massage. The kittens also needed treatment.

All have recovered and are doing well.

Now that’s some dog.
