Children in China in 1979

Some pictures of Chinese children taken from my trip to Canton in 1979.

Brace yourself. This was a picture of a baby in an orphanage left to die.

And an elderly man in a Mao suit…long gone, no doubt. Imagine how much he had seen in his life.

Tomorrow, I’ll post my last few pictures that were taken of Hong Kong in 1979.

And for anyone with a minute or two on their hands, there’s another terrific review of Copper Fire posted today atMama Bear Reads.

Heartbreaking pictures…And heartbreaking story in the news today about the misplaced value kids still have. It infuriated me. And besides, that “rejected” girl is plenty cute!!
