Outdoor Living Rooms

Last evening, my daughter and I took the dogs for a walk into a neighborhood we don’t usually go through.

“Ever been in that house, Mom?” my daughter asked, pointing out a beautiful house. “I used to go there for Leadership meetings when I was in high school.”

She gave me a sideways glance. “Their backyard is incredible. The patio is like an outdoor living room, with a huge pool, sofas, refrigerator, and an enormous flat screen television.”

“Oh!” I said. “Just like our backyard! Well, without the pool, sofas, refrigerator. And flat screen TV.”

“Yup,” she agreed, rolling her eyes. “Just like ours.”
