Poor Mom.

After a fall in early January, she had three pins placed in her hip. Seven weeks later, she was able to move into an independent living apartment (though annoyed with us four kids because we insisted on extra daily care for her…which she found “intrusive”)…

…and just a few days ago pain started flaring up again in her hip.

X-rays revealed that the fracture hadn’t healed. Yesterday, the doctor sent her back to the nursing facility, with surgery for a hip replacement scheduled for Tuesday.

As Mark Twain once said, “It’s always somethin’.”
