Weekend Retreat

Last weekend, I was privileged to be the retreat speaker for a local church.

On Friday afternoon, I left for the retreat hoping and praying I would be a blessing to the women…but I returned on Sunday afternoon, feeling blessed.

And as if I had just made fifty-two new friends! They were that wonderful.

But one discovery…it is not in the speaker’s best interests to be a “commuter” (heading home each night) to a weekend retreat.

On Sunday morning, I woke around 6:30 am. My husband’s first words for the new day? “Before you leave, I’d like to go over taxes with you.”

Not happening, pal.
