Not for Cat Lovers

While my mom’s broken hip is healing, she is staying at a skilled nursing facility surrounded by lots of…elderly people. My brother, Dave, stopped by to visit the other day and noticed that her roommate’s bed was empty. Curious, Dave asked what had happened to her.

Mom: “She went home.”

Dave: “Home as in…Heaven?”

Mom: “She said she was going home to be with her cats.”

Dave: “Oh. Well, then it can’t be Heaven.”
