Chevy Nova

I was walking the dogs past a car that looks like it’s been abandoned. It was an old, rickety thing, but kind of familiar looking….from my childhood type of familiar.

On the back side of the wagon were the rusted out letters “Chevrolet Nova.” That got me giggling!

Decades ago, when Chevrolet took that car to sell in Mexico, it bombed. The marketing geniuses hadn’t given any thought to the fact that “Nova” in Spanish translates to “No go.”

And even funnier was that it was not going anywhere on the street, either.
