About Suzanne

Suzanne Woods Fisher writes bestselling, award winning fiction and non-fiction books about the Old Order Amish for Revell Books. Her interest in the Plain People began with her Old Order German Baptist grandfather, raised in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Suzanne's app, Amish Wisdom, delivers a daily Amish proverb to your phone or iPad. She writes a bi-monthly column for Christian Post and Cooking & Such magazine. She lives with her family in California and raises puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. To Suzanne's way of thinking, you can't take life too seriously when a puppy is running through your house with someone's underwear in its mouth.

  1. Joanna B. says:

The last time I made these (from scratch, no box back then) was in 1996 when I was pregnant with Michael. It was 10 p.m. and I just HAD to have “one more bite” before bed. As I was cutting my one little bite off with a serrated knife, the knife slipped and sliced my middle finger open.

Since our other kids were in bed and too young to stay home alone, I had to drive myself to the ER for stitches. Today I have an inch long scar and a little numb spot on that finger to remind me how costly those yummy bars really are…I haven’t made them since.

However, this new product makes me want to give them another whirl. This time I’ll have my husband cut them for me.
