I’m thrilled to be welcoming Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould back to the show this week. These two authors have teamed up once again for the next book in their Christy Award winning series, The Women of Lancaster County. The latest installment, The Amish Bride, tells the story of a Mennonite woman and an Amish man, and the conflict that arises when the sparks start to fly. Then during the last segment of today’s show we’ll turn all ears to Leslie and her other new release, Courting Cate. Tune in and leave a comment at the show page for a chance to win a copy of the books. Winners will be notified next week via email.

More about Mindy: Mindy Starns Clark is the author of many books, which include the popular Smart Chick Mysteries, Whispers of the Bayou, Shadows of Lancaster County, and Under the Cajun Moon. More about Courting Cate: In Paradise, Pennsylvania, Cate Miller is known more for her sharp tongue and fiery temper than her striking appearance. Her sweet and flirty sister, Betsy, on the other hand, seems to have attracted most of the bachelors in Lancaster County!

But the sisters’ wealthy father has made one hard-and-fast rule: older Cate must marry first, before younger Betsy can even start courting. Unfortunately, untamable Cate has driven away every suitor–until Pete Treger comes to town, that is.

Prodded by the men of the area, Pete turns his attention to winning Cate’s hand. But is his interest true or is there a scheme at play?

More about Leslie: Leslie Gould, a former magazine editor, is the author of numerous novels, including Beyond the Blue and Garden of Dreams. She received her master of fine arts degree from Portland State University and lives in Oregon with her husband, Peter, and their four children.
